Description
The color of E Croce Rouge is beautiful, dense, deep ruby red. In the nose it has beautiful aromas of red fruit: black currant, blackberry and a light note of licorice. On the palate, the wine is rich, fleshy, well structured and full of red fruit combined with spicy notes. The grapes come from a place called E Croce. Lying on the southwest-facing slopes, the soil here consists of clay-limestone on a slate subsoil. The grapes are harvested manually when they are healthy and well ripe. Then the whole crop is pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks.
