Description
Fiano di Avelino is lemon yellow in color with green reflections. The scent is soft with aromas of mint, sage, white peach; as well as white chocolate and citrus fruits that combine with strong mineral notes. The taste of the wine is fine and full-bodied with a medium but satisfying body. Good acidity makes it very refreshing. The long finish is characterized by heartiness, floral and minty flavors. This wine is gastronomically very versatile; Ideal with fried fish and seafood. Salted fish such as sardines, fish soup, pasta with tuna sauce, anchovy frittata and spaghetti frutti di mare.
This wine is produced exclusively from Fiano grapes, from 4 different vineyards in 4 different cities of the province of Avellino: Candida, Montefredane, Lapio and San Michele di Serino. The grapes are harvested by hand and transported to the cellar in small boxes to avoid crushing them. The grapes are gently crushed from whole bunches to get the free-running juice. Wine making and maturing on fine lees takes 4 months and takes place entirely in stainless steel tanks.
