Description
Rivaner from De Kleine Schorre is a particularly fresh wine with full fruit notes such as lychee, peach and pear; a light sparkle completes this wine. Due to its light sweetness and freshness, this wine can be combined wonderfully with Zeelandic Zilte Delights such as shrimp and crab. Spicy dishes and salads are also good combinations with this wine.
In 2001 Wijnhoeve De Kleine Schorre saw the Zeeland light. A strict selection of grapes has been made in collaboration with the renowned Luxembourg wine company Cep d'Or. The choice of grape varieties is based on a number of criteria. One of these is that the wines must connect seamlessly with the good that Zeeland has been offering for many years, namely the Zeeuwse Zilte Zaliteiten. These salty treats consist of: mussels, Eastern Scheldt lobster, oysters, flatfish, sea lavender and samphire. The choice of grape varieties has therefore fallen on the Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Rivaner and Auxerrois.
