Regismont

Grapes from Alsace in the languedoc.

Many wine lovers are well aware that excellent results are being achieved in the Languedoc with grape varieties from Bordeaux, Burgundy or Rhône. But varieties from the more northern part of France, Alsace, are also represented in the south with surprising results. Château Regismont in Poilhes (photo) produces wines on the Coteaux d'Enserune, located between the towns of Narbonne and Beziers, north-west of the Bassin de Thau. They make two successful wines from typical Alsatian varieties. Both of biological origin.
