Description
Deep crimson color with mahogany and mauve tones, the nose will discover an elegant expression where the candied fruit is enriched with spicy and balsamic notes, but also a floral expression : light tobacco, vanilla and cocoa, eglantine, fig and cherry brandy, rosemary and turmeric. The delicate and harmonized taste is both smooth and fresh.
The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted directly at the vineyard. The vines are 80 years old. The reds of this vintage come from Syrah grapes. Voluptuous and soft with a deep red color and notes of red fruit in combination with a floral aroma. Although Crozes-Hermitage can mature for several years, it can also be drunk young. Fresh in the early years, it will develop stronger notes of spice and leather over the years as the wine ages. 15% of the wine is aged in new 400L barrels and the other part in 300L barrels both for 12 months.
