Petit Chablis 2022

The vineyards of the Petit-Chablis appellation are located on either side of the Serein River. This AOC was established in 1944. It is one of the jewels in the crown of the Chablis district, which in the northernmost department of Bourgonge forms the "golden gate" for the region as a whole. A Chardonnay wine through and through, "Petit" Chablis has, in fact, nothing "small."

 

This wine is a beautiful light gold, the color of rye straw, sometimes with green highlights. The aromas are of white flowers, mixed with citrus notes, over a mineral base (flint). Notes of peach and other white-fruited fruits are sometimes found. The mouth is light and lively with a balanced acidity. A spirited attack quickly turns into a friendly tour. Freshness, body and perseverance come together in a harmonious whole. The wine is drunk young, ideally after two years: it belongs to spring.
