Located on the upper slopes of Ladoix, this east-facing vineyard bordering Corton-Charlemagne has fairly deep soils composed of a mix of white marl and clay topped with 40-year-old vines. The grapes are harvested manually when they are fully ripe, then they are gently pressed in a pneumatic press. The must is kept overnight and then poured into French oak barrels, which are 30% new barrels. Fermentation starts naturally with native yeast and bacteria. Here the wines are aged for 9 months after which they are bottled by gravity.
Aging: 9 months in oak barrels, 30% new.
Storage potential: 8 to 10 years.
