Description
Chardonnay Beerenauslese has aromas of ripe green and yellow fruits, apple, pear and quince on the nose and on the palate. Clear honey notes and a hint of cloves on the nose. Elegant on the palate with a nice balance between sugars and acidity. Very harmonious!
The Mehofer vineyards are the northernmost tip of the Wagram region, which stretches from the Danube to the wine estate, which lies just northwest of Vienna. The geological features of the region combined with consistent weather and climatic patterns form the basis for full-bodied wines, rich in aroma and flavor. Loess layers formed in the Ice Age cover the substrate of marine deposits and river gravel. This results in spicy wines with substance and drinking pleasure, even in a fairly low-alcohol classic style.
