Blanc de Noir 2020

Blanc de Noir is an exciting wine. Made from Pinot Noir grapes in a white wine style. The faint pink diamond color refers to the origin. The fragrance is charming and immediately attractive. It gives aromas of nectarine, baked apple, lemon zest and floral characters, which leads to a juicy mouthfeel that is nicely round and smooth. It is clear and refreshing with a youthful fruit intensity, supported by a lively acidity. It has very attractive tropical and lime blossom notes with an exotic, spicy finish. Nicely chilled, this wine is perfect as an aperitif or delicious with lighter meat such as veal and poultry, Asian meals and pasta dishes.

The grapes are hand-picked from 20-year-old Pinot Noir vines. All fruits were pressed very gently with a whole bunch to minimize skin contact and color extraction. The juice is fermented cool to preserve the primary fruit characters.

The soil and vines are fed organic brews and compost tea. Disease is managed with natural beneficial organisms such as Trichoderma and Bacilus Subtilus that surpass unwanted organisms. This lush green vineyard creates an attractive habitat for a variety of native birds, lizards, butterflies such as the Monarch and the Admiral, plus beneficial insects such as ladybugs.
