Description
This Merlot has a deep bright burgundy color, the wine is rich in fruity aromas on a background of fresh herbs, cloves and tobacco characters. This medium to full-bodied wine is a classic Merlot that drinks well. After about 7 days of fermentation in stainless steel barrels, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation, then matured in stainless steel barrels for another six months to maintain its fruity character.
The winter preceding the growing season was warmer than previous years. As a result, the vine's flowering occurred earlier than usual, causing ripening and harvesting to start about two weeks earlier. Temperatures were relatively moderate throughout the growing season without extreme events, allowing for quality ripening.
