Description
Beyra Tinto has a fruity aroma with a very elegant and discreet minerality. Berries and herbs, fresh, with a fruity aftertaste. The soul of this wine lies in the unique combination of the indigenous grape varieties Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional, from old vines.
 
The grapes come from vineyards planted in the plateau region of the Beira Interior wine region, at an average altitude of 700 meters, and grow in granite and slate soils with quartz veins. The vineyards are all made up of indigenous grape varieties that are perfectly adapted to the environmental and climatic characteristics created by the altitude. The grapes are picked by hand and completely destemmed upon receipt at the wine estate. After this, the grapes are pressed and cooled. Fermentation takes place between 22 - 26 ºC for 7 days with smooth maceration. The wine is aged for 1 year in stainless steel barrels until bottling.
