Denis Jamain's grandfather planted the first Sauvignon Blanc vine in his 2ha vineyard in 1935. At that time, the vineyards in Reuilly had been destroyed by Phylloxera and were not very popular. Still, the man believed in Reuilly's terroir. He was absolutely right! This Rosé 'Les Chênes' is a tribute to Denis Jamain's grandfather.

Blanc Les Chenes has a great aromatic intensity of quince and vanilla. The wine is rich, well structured, with flavors of quince and stewed yellow fruit. Complexity is linked to good concentration. The texture of the old vines (40 years) gives a lot of character to the wine.

The grapes come from the Pierres-Plates plots in the middle of the hills. The terroir consists of clay and limestone containing fossils of crustaceans and shellfish from the Loire river. The grapes are picked by hand after which they undergo a malolactic fermentation during fermentation. The wine is then aged for 1 year in French oak barrels, of which 25% new, 25% 1 year, 25% 2 year and 25% 3 year old barrels.
