Around the Abbaye Sylva Plana, founded in 1139, is a 54-hectare vineyard that is entirely biologically cultivated by Nicolas Bouchard and his companion Cedric Guy. The place? The heart of Faugeres, a sun-drenched, slate-rich (right) region in the Languedoc. Characteristic of the red wines produced there is that they were almost always composed of various grape varieties. Similarly, the Abbaye Sylva Plana Les Novices 2016. Of which the grenache was traditionally fermented, but the carignan and cinsault via carbonic acid, so a la Beaujolais. Hence the generous fruit (black, red, berry) in the fleshy, very slightly spicy, hints of catkin and laurel offering flavor. This pure pleasure wine has a target price of € 12.95
