The wine is an ode to the great-grandmother of the Verhaeghe family, owner of Château du Cèdre. Juicy white wine based on Colombard, Ugni Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The nose is straightforward, slightly spicy and delicate. The aromas are of ripe plum, white fruit and some citrus followed by a particularly pleasant juicy taste with again a lot of ripe white fruit. It feels crunchy and aromatic in the mouth. This wine can be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif and goes perfectly with seafood, fish and white cheeses.
The vineyards in the Gers are located on two soils; Limestone, Clay and Silica. The climate here is semi-continental. Maceration on the peel for 24 hours. Slow pressing by pneumatic pressure. Settle cold for 48 hours. Slow fermentation, followed by maturing on lees.
