The grapes come from the Villa Rosa (270m) and Nittardi (450m) vineyards. Sangiovese was planted in the Villa Rosa vineyard in 1968. Furthermore, 7 local grape varieties grow in small quantities. The wine is stored for 12 months in used French barrels of 500 liters and in the bottle for a few months before it is marketed. The label stands for the history of the vineyard and soil types; stones and clay. There are 8 because 8 grape varieties are used. But Sangiovese dominates with 90%.
