Description
Blend: 70% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier and 15% Chardonnay.
Harvest: 2014.
Bottled: July 2015.
Dosage: 2gr / l.
Disgorged: November 2018
This brilliant and intense light yellow color makes the wine shine in the glass from straw yellow to silver. The lively flow of small bubbles form a delicate mousse ring at the top of the glass. Both predict a delicious fresh and rich wine.
The nose opens with notes of pastry, brioche, butter, roasted hazelnuts and honey with the intoxicating scent of honeysuckle, roses, lime and hawthorn. After airing the wine, he reveals notes of umami and a more fruity character: warm apples, fresh black currants, cherry, pomegranate, wild strawberries, pomelo and hints of licorice, green tea and peppermint.
On the palate, the first impression is clean and fresh with a soft, creamy mousse. The wine quickly develops a full, crunchy fruitiness, supported by the acidity of lemons and pomelo. The middle palette is full around a clay and chalk soil minerality that gives breadth, texture and a clear hint of salt prior to the finish. This palpable balance is mixed with an overall impression of freshness and aromatic precision that enhances the rich, accessible enjoyment and underlines the soft, flavorful character of the finish.
