The "entry" level Chardonnay from Loichet indicates the potential of this winery. Sylvain proves that you can make exciting wine, for a reasonable price. Freshness and liveliness are the key words of this "Chardonnay" with a beautiful maturity, a fragrance of white flowers, hazelnut with citrus fruits.
It is an assembly of different plots. The terroir is composed of limestone, white marl. The age of the vines is between 35 and 40 years. The grapes are harvested manually, relatively late in the season, after which the grapes are gently pressed with a pneumatic press.The grape juice is poured overnight in oak barrels that contain 30% of new barrels. After 9 months, the wine is lightly filtered, after which it is bottled using only gravity.
This full and elegant wine with fine and fruity aromas can be kept for 8 to 10 years, in good conditions of temperature and humidity.
