Rioja Rosé has a bright pale pink color. In the fragrance it has intense aromas of red fruit and creamy banana, but also with some floral notes. In taste it is a pleasant and silky wine with a great balance and a nice acidity, which is at the same time greedy and fresh.
Rioja Rosé is made from Garnacha and Viura, from old Tempranillo vineyards with a low production, located on the poor land of the terraces of the Ebro in the area of ​​San Vicente de la Sonsierra (La Rioja). The grapes are picked by hand throughout the month of October. From receipt of the grapes in the cellar, people work with gravity. That means no pumps are used, which is better for the grapes and ultimately the wine. Maceration takes between 24 and 48 hours at low temperatures, around 10 ° C. Then the devatting process is carried out, naturally extracting a clear and rosé colored must that ferments for 20 days between 10-12 ° C.
Located in the historic village of San Vincente de la Sonsierra, Bodega López de Haro rises above a sea of ​​vineyards, flanked by the rivers Ebro and Sierra de Toloño. The bodega is completely excavated on the side of a mountain. The selection of wines is named after Don Diego López de Haro, founder of the city of Bilbao. Hacienda López de Haro is a series of wines that combine the simplicity and elegance of great classics with today's consumer taste. The terroir in this region is of calcareous clay. This produces a wine with refined freshness and a pleasant length and aftertaste.
