Description
This striking grape variety, with a strong aroma, has been increasingly grown in the Überetsch area since the 1980s. The stony limestone gravel and cool autumn winds at the foot of the Mendel Massif produce a vibrant and expressive Sauvignon from the Lahn vineyards. With refreshing acidity, delicate minerality, the Lahn Sauvignon really stands out as a trendy white wine. The wine is clear with a light green sheen. Aromas of pineapple, elderberry, gooseberry and honey emerge from the glass. Mineral, refreshing and balanced. A real asparagus wine, but it also goes well with light Asian cuisine such as sushi or Thai chicken skewers with peanut sauce (saté) and dishe nuit de alps as quail with chanterelles.

The vineyards are located between 480 and 550m high on the mountain of Eppan oriented to the southeast. (see photos) The terroir consists of limestone gravel. Manual harvesting of the Sauvignon Blanc takes place at the end of September. Fermentation and development on the lees in stainless steel tanks until the end of February.
